Neelab Hakim

Neelab Hakim has been engaged in many social and environmental activities with different national and international civil society and human rights institutions in Afghanistan for almost 15 years. She worked as an ecology programme coordinator for the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s office in Kabul between 2012 and 2017. Neelab Hakim is a founding member of Environment and Natural Resource Monitoring Network in Afghanistan, with a particular focus on the involvement of Afghan youth civil society organisations to coordinate, monitor and advocate with regard to the natural resources and environmental laws. Before joining the Heinrich Böll Foundation, she was involved in peacebuilding and conflict transformation and rule of law programmes for the Afghan Civil Society Forum Organization (ACSFo) in 23 provinces of Afghanistan.
